Bikes, Boards, and Blessings

I will start with the blessings. Our apartment got taken!!! We only did two rounds of showings, and I am so relieved that I don't have to do it anymore. The best part is that it saves us $3900 that we would have had to pay in rent if we hadn't found someone. We have of course had countless other blessings, but this is the biggest one as of late.

I know this picture is random, but we have been making Ezra clean his room each night.
For every two weeks of cleaning he gets a toy. The first week it was a construction set.
He really likes the hat, and he has a blast with the tools.

We also did our Miles for Miracles event. It was a lot of fun, and over $125,000 was raised. Thank you to all of you who supported us! I ate a ton of the food that was there, to be sure and not loose any of the calories that I burned. I also enjoyed the post-ride massage, which was more of a professional stretch, but it was still nice. We really appreciate Cate and Wyatt riding with us. I definitely did not want to do another hour on that bike. I had a hard time sitting for a few days as it was.

Bob gave himself much more of a workout than me.
I got a little sweaty, but took it pretty easy on myself.
You can't really tell, but our shirts have smiley faces with a little cleft.

This is right after Wyatt finished (he was last), that is why the rest of us look so rested.

And last but not least Bob has some big exams coming up. He is taking Part II of his boards on the17th and 18th and then the written part of the WREB on the 22nd and 23rd. He would appreciate any prayers you could offer up in his behalf!

EmmaLee, I'm so impressed--I have miserably failed to train my children to clean up after themselves. About 6 months ago, I had a terrible day-mare while picking up after Nathan in his room. I had a vision of my future daughter-in-law asking him "Didn't your mother ever teach you to pick up after yourself." Keep up the good work! It was ever so much easier and faster to just clean up after my kids. You truly reap what you sew.

Congrats on your bicycling and fundraising. After we run, we check the fancy Garmin watch and see how many calories we've burned. One of my friends often goes and picks up a donut on her way home. Another one told me that she was so hungry one morning after we ran 6 miles that she stopped at AM/PM on her way home and got a hot dog, chip, and soda meal for breakfast.
We will definitely pray for Bob--we've been thinking about him and his big test. Love you guys!

Yay!!! I would hate to have to show my house while living in it. What a stress relief to know it's taken care of.

I remember my days of being the MS Walk Chair here in Salem. Lots of hard work but so very worth it! Congrats on biking and raising money for such an excellent cause.

Bob~you'll do awesome. Doug always talks about that "young kid brother of his" ~he is very proud of you as we all are.

Hope all goes well starting today, we'll definitely send up some prayers. We know what a stressful time that can be. He'll do great though!

Is it me or does Ezra just get cuter and cuter?! We can't wait to see him in the flesh again.

Congratulations on completing the bike riding. I am so out of shape that this baby is going to be a lot harder to recover from.

We will keep Bob in our prayers. Good luck Bob!
