We got home from our Palmyra trip at about 5:30 and by 6:00 we were on our way to the beach. We had been to see the sand sculptures a couple years ago and were excited to go again. Especially because we didn't get to see any fireworks for the Fourth of July. The sculptures were definitely more weird this year and borderline risque (We didn't take pictures of most of them for that reason). We did enjoy the fireworks though. They were pretty good and worth the wait. Ezra even enjoyed them.
This one showed the baby on the back side. It's a boy!
Working while waiting for the fireworks.
Ezra loved tapping on the top and then saying "ta da".
I liked that they were shot out over the ocean so we got to see some pretty reflections.
These are some from the time before for comparison. I wish that I knew what the difference in themes was from last time to this time, but they are all better than I could ever do.

Wow~Amazing...looks like it would be fun to be there.
very impressive! i've always seen these things on the tv but have never seen one in real life (that's kinda funny now that i think about it--i'm from a very sandy place! *haha)
HOLY COW those are all made just out of sand? I can't believe it...I thought it was difficult to think of a design for just a small castle. That is some serious creativity and work going on there!
