Happy St. Patrick's Day

I made these cute shirts for Ezra and I last night. It was super easy, and I am happy with the result. I just did it with freezer paper and fabric paint. If you want to see exactly how you can check out this blog. I wanted them to be little momentos of our time here in Boston and not just St. Patty's Day shirts, and I think I got what I wanted. The best part was that I got my shirt on clearance at Old Navy for $.97! It is a small, and I really should buy mediums, but for $.97 I couldn't resist. So for a total of about $5 Ezra and I have super cute shirts.

In honor of this holiday I just want to say that we are so LUCKY to have this sweet little guy! Approximately three years ago today we were blessed to get pregnant with Ezra (T.M.I. I know!) and what a wonderful three years it has been. (Minus the first few months.) It was just a week or so ago, that Ezra was totally in a terrible two phase. I thought we would get lucky and avoid it for the most part, but it was not seeming so. I felt like he forgot how to talk and only knew how to whine. I was worried we were going to move in with Bob's parents, and they would think I was the worst mom ever. Fortunately after a few days he snapped out of it, and is back to his wonderful little self. Not that he is perfectly behaved by any means, but he is so much more pleasant to be around!

Nat forgot to tell you to enter her giveaway. It ends tonight. And I am jealous of the boston shirts!

You guys are looking good. Ezra is a trooper. Glad he snapped out of the grumpy phase.

You've got to love the freezer paper stenciling. I am trying to think of something to make for the girls for after the baby is born. It's been so long since I've seen Ezra that I can't imagine him having a tantrum but all kids have them! Glad he's feeling me like himself.

Oh, please, Emily. If you think that Mom would think that you're a bad mother after listening to a bout of toddler whiny-ness, just close your eyes and picture her singing to us in her whiny-est voice "We are the two known as Whimper and Whine, Whimper and Whine, Whimper and Whine, Whine, WHINE!"

Sherrie is absolutely right. Your shirts are great and the fact that you can make them, handle a 2 year old, a house, church calling, fundraising for a cause you believe in, etc. etc. is proof that you are a great person and a wonderful mom. I think that little song was from The Electric Company - a TV show for kids back in the day. I loved it and used it often - much to the dismay of my children. :)

I'm happy you're doing so great. I'm still trying to figure out to make time to do cool projects like the one you did, *haha* but you inspire me. It'll only be a number of weeks before you're back out on this side of the country! Really excited am I! :)

Thanks for sharing that story about Ezra's terrible 2 phase. Ava has always been a sweet and wonderful little girl, but for the last couple days she has been really whinny. I didn't understand why everyone referred to it as the terrible 2 because it has not been terrible at all. The last few days have been rough, but hearing your experience I'm hoping it will turn around for us too.

By the way your shirts are cool. I might have to give it try.
